Welcome to my podcast. I am Doctor Warrick Bishop, and I want to help you to live as well as possible for as long as possible. I’m a practising cardiologist, best-selling author, keynote speaker, and the creator of The Healthy Heart Network. I have over 20 years as a specialist cardiologist and a private practice of over 10,000 patients.

In this podcast, Doctor Warrick Bishop discusses the importance of mRNA and amyloid in the medical field.

mRNA is the transcription factor that carries the blueprint from DNA to the factory for printing proteins and compounds in the body. mRNA vaccines, such as Pfizer and Moderna, insert protein sequences into cells to trigger an immune response.

Targeted approaches to mRNA can also block or modify protein production in the body. Over 50 Nobel Prizes in medicine have been awarded to mRNA research, and over 2,500 mRNA proteins have been identified.

Amyloid is a protein that accumulates in different organs, such as the heart and brain, and can contribute to heart stiffness and Alzheimer's. Amyloid can collect in individuals as they age or due to a genetic predisposition. As we get better at identifying amyloid, there are more opportunities for treatment, including targeted mRNA therapies.

Doctor Bishop encourages listeners to evaluate their risk for coronary artery disease and visit virtualheartcheck.com.au for more information.

  • Heart disease is a significant problem in Australia, with over 20 people dying from it every day.
  • Strategies can be put in place to reduce the risk of heart disease and prevent heart attacks.
  • mRNA is a transcription factor that carries the blueprint from DNA to the factory for printing proteins and compounds in the body.
  • mRNA vaccines, such as Pfizer and Moderna, can insert information into cells and trigger an immune response from the body.
  • Targeted approaches to mRNA can block particular proteins from being formed, such as PCSK9 in the cholesterol space.
  • Over the last few years, there have been over 50 Nobel Prizes in medicine awarded to mRNA research.
  • mRNA proteins can be a result of different strains and influences on the cell, and can be measured to indicate particular functions within the body.
  • Amyloid is a protein that can collect in different organs, such as the heart and brain, and contribute to diseases such as Alzheimer's and heart stiffness.
  • Amyloid can collect in individuals as they age, as well as from a genetic predisposition from their liver and their liver production.
  • There are multiple areas for potential intervention in treating amyloid, including targeted mRNA therapies that block or interrupt the production of detrimental proteins.

Australia, like the rest of the western world, has a heart problem.

Over 9 million people around the world die from heart disease every year.

Every 10 minutes, someone in Australia suffers a heart attack. And 21 lives are lost daily because of it.

The devastating fact in all of this is…

Almost every one of those cases could have been prevented.

This podcast is for anyone who wants to improve their health literacy and gain information to help them make the best decisions about their risk of heart attack, their cholesterol, blood pressure, risk of diabetes, weight loss and general health. Join me on my personal mission journey to prevent Heart Attack on a global scale. If you like this podcast, I would be honoured by a 5-star review and appreciate if you let your friends and family know about this podcast; you may even save the life of someone you love!

  • 94% of Australians have at least One Risk Factor for heart disease.
  •  59% of Australians have been Touched by heart disease.
  •  Yet only 3% of Australians have had a Full Heart-Health Assessment in the past 12 months.
