DISCLAIMER – USE OF OSTEOPOROSIS RISK CALCULATORS
The osteoporosis risk calculator we use has been informed by internationally recognised tools, including the original Framingham Risk Calculator, the MESA Risk Calculator, and draws similarities with the Australian National Vascular Disease Prevention Alliance (now part of the Australian Chronic Disease Prevention Alliance – ACDPA) Cardiovascular Risk Calculator. These tools were primarily developed for use by healthcare professionals and are based on independent reviews of available evidence unless otherwise noted as expert opinion.
Please note:
This tool is not intended for self-diagnosis. Interpretation of results by individuals without appropriate clinical training is not recommended, unless under the direction of, or in consultation with, a qualified health professional.
The screening tool we use is adapted from a validated clinical decision aid developed in Canada, specifically designed to identify women over 50 who would benefit from a bone mineral density (BMD) scan. In order to maintain clinical integrity and consistency with evidence-based practice, we’ve chosen to use this questionnaire format.
While every effort has been made to ensure accuracy and relevance, The Healthy Heart Network and its employees disclaim all liability for any loss or damage incurred by reliance on the tool’s results or the information it provides. Reference to similar materials from third-party organisations does not imply endorsement or recommendation of those entities, their services, or products.
All materials are protected by copyright. Any unauthorised use is at the user’s own risk.
REFUND POLICY – VIRTUAL BONE SCAN
We want to make sure your experience delivers real value. If at any point you feel uncertain, uncomfortable, or simply change your mind, you're free to cancel the virtual bone scan.
No questions asked.
We will provide a full refund for the virtual scan. The only deduction will be for the cost of the book and postage/handling, which are charged at cost. Your satisfaction and peace of mind are our priority.
