Hi, my name is Dr Warrick Bishop and welcome to My Healthy Heart Minute. Today's minute is about coronary arteries, which are narrowed. When do we fix them, why don't we, and why do we fix them?

I have the chance to speak with Angela Hartley, who's an Australian-born English based nurse with a strong interest in rehabilitation.

We talk about some of the indicators for why we fix an artery if it's narrowed. Things like demonstrating clearly that there is a lack of blood flow from that narrowing. Conversely, if there's not clear indication of lack of blood flow, we don't tend to touch it. We use the philosophy if it ain't broke, don't touch it.

Anyway, I go into quite a bit of detail with Angela trying to explain where we think in terms of fixing arteries that are narrowed. That's in a podcast that's attached to this video. Please, if you're interested, check it out.

For now, though, I'm gonna wish you the very best. Please live as well as possible, for as long as possible.

Bye for now!
